College is about the destination...not the journey.

College: definitely something to look forward too...unfortunately, the process takes over your first semester giving you little chance for relaxation. For the past 6 months, the Aragon High School senior class has been awaiting the day where every single form, for every single school's application is turned in.

It's amazing what a hold College can have on you. It can cause stress of a brand new level and cause people to ask a significant amount of questions till they think their college councelors' minds will implode.

One other thing...make it clear to your parents that the college process now is a total polar opposite than what it was when they were applying to college. Think about it: some of those parents worked their way through college. Even if I work two jobs, I couldn't pay a fraction of room and board. Can you say "Financial Aid?"

No one but you and your peers will understand what you are going through. The greatest advice I can give is talk to your counselors about the application process; talk to your peers about the application stress.

Class of 2008...Already?

The View From My Lens

Photography is one of my favorite pastimes, therefore I think I should share it with you.

Also, I'm looking for a digital SLR camera...any info? Get back to me.

I saw this boy at the park one day being quite creative with the swing set. Looks like it needs more lumbar support.

Friend or Hoe?

Getting around; Back-door physician; School Bicycle...

All words that constitute that one girl in your school who doesn't know how to keep her pants on. It's a little shocking to believe how one your age could have gotten that far whereas some others have barely left...

So what is taking it too far? Is having a sexual partner something to cherish or is it just another tally mark you keep in the back of your mind?

Sex has become the number one taboo act in America but is that why it is now not the number one taboo act in America? I feel as though that sex is such a far outreach people are more willing to do it. Why? There are so many sexual influences in a teenager's daily life. Whether it be the couple licking the back of each other's throats in the middle of the hallway or "Flavor of Love" on cable television, it's everywhere! Sex has received a reputation of making you seem immature all the while, if you've made the right decision, it can make you the opposite.

How does sex affect our daily lives? Seeing as though I'm 17, one more year until I'm a legal adult, I find no rush to lose my virginity. As for others, I don't know where that rush to fornicate came from.

In the end, if you want to do it, do it. Make sure you're protected, make sure you're conscious, etc. Don't do it because people know you will do it. Change their perspective of you. Your reputation can be flushed down the toilet all due to the fact that you can't even count the number of sexual partners you've had.

To that one person in particular: if you're going to do it this often...you might as well get paid for it...
